 The fourth day of the FIDE World Youth U9–U17 Rapid & Blitz Chess Championship continued with the Blitz category. On a day featuring five rounds, chess fans spectators witnessed many exciting games with the blitz time control.
After five rounds in the Blitz category here is the leading players of each category:
U9 Category
Open: Marc Barcelo Melnyk is sharing the lead with Meriç Zeynel Aker and Nurali Nurshin with all of them 4.5 points.
Girls: Varvara Volkova took first place with a perfect score of 5 while Sabina-Teodora Dutcovici and Azaliya Balakanova are sharing the second place with 4 points.
U11 Category
Open: FM Marc Llari is another player with perfect score, being followed by CM Quang Anh Nguyen and Akhmediyar Sugraliyev at 4 points.
Girls: There is three-way tie in this group with WFM Alisa Genrietta Yunker, WCM Zhansaya Sholpanbek and Melis Duru Kaygun all having 4 points.
U13 Category
Open: Makar Berdashkevich is leading with 100% wiyh 5 points while FM Ramtin Kakavand is just half point behind with 4.5 points and CM Suleyman Akhmet is on the third place with 4 points.
Girls: Lazizabonu Komiljonova is just another player having a perfect score with 5 out 5, she is followed by Mohinaxon Karimova second with 4 points and Mokhinur Xikmatkhonova is in third pace with 3.5 points.
U15 Category
Open: CM Nam Kiet Nguyen is having a perfect score, while Ivan Al Shinkorenko and the Turkish star GM Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş are sharing the second place with 4 points.
Girls: WFM Rosha Akbari made one draw and leading with 4.5 points while Asiya Assylkhan and WCM Arya Aydoğan are sharing the second place with 4 points.
U17 Category
Open: Local hero GM Ediz Gürel is at shared first with 4 points together with FM Vladimir-Alexandru Cnejev and IM Qingfeng Cao.
Girls: Another Turkish player WCM Pelin Seyhan is leading at 4.5 while WCM Madinabonu Khalilova and Binh Vy Nguyen are at the second and third place with 4 and 3.5 points respectively.
The second day of the Blitz section will begin tomorrow at 15:00 local time. After four rounds of play, the championship will conclude with the awards ceremony at 20:30.
